Poetry by the Sea is dependent upon the generosity of the poetry community to be able to offer scholarships.
Poetry by the Sea scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit and financial need. Applicants should click on the link below to be taken to a secure application form. You will be asked to provide the names and email addresses of two references who will write a letter in support of your application. You should also email a sample of your work as follows:
To apply for a seminar scholarship, please send 3-5 pages of academic prose to Anna M. Evans
To apply for a workshop scholarship, please send 5-10 pages of poetry to Dr. Kim Bridgford.
All scholarship materials need to be received by the deadline of January 31st 2017. Awards will be announced by February 28th 2017. Please note: all scholarship applicants will also need to fill out the general registration form, which opened on December 2nd, and choose option to pay by check.
